Blog Love

September30

I just found my latest blog crush- The Broke-Ass Bride

The blog is WONDERFUL, and to make it and it’s money saving ideas even better, they’re giving away a bunch of awesome stuff this week (including a custom wedding dress!).  As a broke-ass bride myself, I can use all the help I can get.

Oh, and I love their logo- awesome retro fonts, bright colors, and a redhead bride!  What’s not to love?

Finally…

September16

So, I had taken time off over the Labor Day weekend to spend tiem with family and friends while Dave went off to PAX in Seattle. I went to the zoo with friends and spent nine hours walking , photographing, and chatting. It wore me out and I ended up NOT going to visit friends and family on Sunday. That, and I had to retrieve Dave from the airport Sunday night.

I retrieved Dave from the airport and was thrilled to see that he had bought me Wil Wheaton’s chapbook. I was less than thrilled to see that he had come home sick.

That was just sthe start of it.

Long story short, but late tuesday we had learned of the first confirmed swine flu cases in PAX attendees. Dave definately seemed to have flu symptoms, and I was being proactive so I alerted my boss that I was going home and scheduling a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday. The appointment came and we were sent home with the unwanted diagnosis- Dave had brought home swine flu.

So, while I had planned to be back at work here and at the office last week, I instead spent it on the sofa, half awake and feverish and watching Netflix. It was not the kind of vacation I was hoping for.

But, I am back! New designs will be showing up in the shop this week, so keep an eye out!
